So sad when it's over

My first semester as a college, and I can't deny that I love this new stage. It was a privilege to be a student of an excellent English teacher, Professor Iara Segarra. There are few professors who teach with dedication, happiness and passion. In every job assigned, we not only learned the language but of circumstances that happen in real life. She made us think beyond the ordinary and see things with a clearer perspective. Sometimes we know what other people have told us and we step investigate, clarify doubts and increase our self-knowledge. In this work, I learned how we can make a blog and manage it. In addition to that every day and every week appears situations that surprise us, that we can thank and admire and that somehow or another cause impact on our lives. Unfortunately, sometimes we focus more on other less important issues and we are not enjoying the wonders that God has created. It's important that we know and be aware of everything that happens around us and let's stop saying the problems that in this little island we are living and begin to implement new solutions or alternatives for each day to be a better person and  improve our country. Well, as wrote a great writer Miguel De Unamuno: "Be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect", and such an ideal of perfection is certainly unattainable. But He put the unattainable goal and end of our efforts." Professor Segarra, I would love that the next English course can take it with you! Never give up and take your dreams and goals aside. If singing is what you like, take risks without fear. You are a professional in every aspect of the word and always have the support of students in so little time that have been won by your understanding, friendship and sincerity. Thanks for all those classes in which not only learned but enjoyed and laughed. God Bless You !

Thanksgiving day

I love Thanksgiving day not only for the food but because it takes a little time to be sharing with the family. I've always said that not only thank God this day. We always have to be grateful for every detail that God gives us whether good or bad only He knows its purpose. That day, I could share with my family, eat turkey and completing the preparations of my uncle's wedding. I was very happy for them as they finally were getting married. At the end of the day everything went as expected. It was a great week for me!

Save our planet, enjoy your future.

These pictures have really captured my attention. Many of us know the consequences that brings littering the environment and yet we do it. It's important that each of us learn to conserve nature. Nature is beautiful and we must respect it. Many animals live in it and isn't fair that many of us destroy it in that way. Nothing cost us take along a plastic bag to take away the trash. The pollution increases the global warming causing abrupt climate changes and affecting many habitats of animals. Don't ignore the harm that cause it and allow many animals and humans continue to enjoy all the resources that nature provides us. Watch your planet as you care for your home.

Elections 2012

The past November 6, we celebrated the elections of Puerto Rico in which the President of the Popular Democratic Party, Alejandro García Padilla, won with the 47.79 percent of the votes. Elections were longer compared to the other past quadrennium. Never been so outstanding as that day news. I was nervous and happy because it would be the first time my vote would be performed. I felt like an adult making decisions, analyzing and thinking about the welfare of my dear little island, Puerto Rico. I just hope that García Padilla knows assess his post as governor because many voted for him putting in his hands the future of Puerto Rico and profiting not only think about himself but make every effort to listen to people's concerns and take action of these.

We aren't toys

I'm greatly worried about the insensitivity of people throwing defenseless animals into the street. Just like you, they has the right to life. The animals feel and suffer, they aren't a "simple gift" and much less a toy that you throw to one side when you no longer want it. Having an animal requires not only food and water but of love and games. In short, is a real liability. Recently I was in the university library and saw a big brown and black dog named "Coffee" that seemed to be abandoned but always goes walking in the campus. That day, I noticed it strange and I wanted to give it some food. One of the cookies that I threw didn't reach the place where the dog was. Therefore, Coffee, stood. Its hind legs were totally sick and started moaning. This dog has a fairly large tumor. Seeing this, it was something that moved me and I want people to not only be sorry to see them in those states, but that we take action because in the union is strength. We can reduce the number of stray dogs on the streets using the method of sterilization. If you have the knowledge that you can't keep and care an animal, doesn't have it. It's time to raise awareness of this, come together and make campaigns guiding people of the serious damage that they are doing. It's not fair that many dogs walked on the streets as vagrants completely oblivious to the danger awaits. Reflects!

The Little Girl Who Didn't Want To Get Fat

Isabelle Caro was a French model and actress. Her dream was always to be famous someday. Unfortunately she started suffering from anorexia since she was thirteen. Her mother suffered from severe depression. Isabelle's mother didn't want too see her growing and she measured her height everyday. In 2006, she slipped into a coma and the doctor said she wouldn't survive but Isabelle recovered and continued fighting with her disease. Caro wanted to let other girls know how difficult and dangerous this disease is, so she participated in a small campaign of a clothing line named Nolita in which she posed nude showing her skeletal body overly thin. This really shocked many people in the world including me. She had its ups and downs but at one point her body could take no more. At the age of 28, Isabelle, died. Later her mother, Marie Caro, committed suicide due to her feeling of guilty. Definitely, this sad story has impacted my life. I always wanted to be a model and now I know that in the fashion world there are some rules in diets that we believe that are simple and can cause death. It's important to be focused on this disease and not let this end with ourselves. We all have strengths and weaknesses and we have to accept ourselves as we are. Value and love yourself!

From a dream to a nightmare

This film is one of the most exciting of action and suspense. This is about a girl who wanted to go on a trip with her best friend to France. Her father accepted her condition upset letting her go. When they arrived at the airport in Paris both met Peter who decided to share a cab and invited them to a party. Then, Kim found out that her best friend lied saying that their parents would be in the appartment with them. When Kim is talking to her dad on the phone saw that her best friend is being abducted by a stranger. Kim's father, Bryan, was a former CIA operative so he recorded all. Since then, began the process of searching for his daughter. This movie teaches us that we must be alert and malicious because not everyone is good in life. We have to go beyond, thinking about the consequences that can cause any decision that we take. We are surrounded by good people but also by bad people. Being kidnapped is quite difficult and sad not only for yourself also for your parents. Taken, shows what a father can make to save his daughter from danger. I recommend this film to all those teenagers and those parents because it opens our eyes to know that things have worsened and that the world isn't pink.
